Welcome to Caleb’s Support Page!

Hello! If you’ve found yourself at this place, there is a high likelihood that you are interested in learning about my upcoming one-year missional internship in Busan, South Korea!

To briefly introduce myself, my name is Caleb Lee, and for the past four years, I have been devoting my college years to serving with SOON Movement Global as a SJ, DPD, and missionary! Through those opportunities, I’ve been trained fearfully and wonderfully in the embrace of Him and this precious community, and through the culmination of those opportunities, I have decided to take the next step and tithe my twenties as an International Intern.

The Vision

Busan has become a critical juncture for the progression of The Great Commission, possessing the potential to be one of the key nexuses for the goal of making disciples of all nations. By 2027, they plan to recruit a total of 300,000 international students through the “Study Korea 300K Project.” As such, not only is the international student population of Korea projected to increase significantly, this initiative also opens the door to reach to students who come from closed countries as well. To put this into context, Busan’s international student ministry has the unique opportunity to freely witness to and disciple students who would otherwise have no access to the gospel — and through lovingly embracing these students, they hold the potential to take the gospel to their own families and local communities, and hopefully their cultures and societies as well when they (likely) return to their home countries. Through this, we can begin to dream of a bigger and greater future for the kingdom of God!

My Heart

In Spring of 2025, I had the fortuitous opportunity to participate in a exchange program to Yonsei University in Seoul. Through my semester in Korea, I was able to gain an abundance of grace, love, blessings, and matured spiritually. Yet, as much as I came to gain, I noticed that there were countless students who were at a loss. Despite seeking out Korea to experience its culture and people, Korea’s insular in-group culture failed to accommodate those expectations and drove many of these students to the margins and nightlife due to repeated collisions with these translucent cultural and societal barriers. Just as much as this broke my heart, it also helped formed it, and I began to see Korea as a mission field — more specifically these overlooked international students, who were no longer a small percentage of the college population, as an unreached flock of lost sheep.

“But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.”
Numbers 14:24

As I reflect on these experiences, I’ve also come to find my own vision, one that surpasses just meeting the communal and cultural needs of these students, but also one that dreams for world evangelization and discipleship. It is my hope that just as Caleb set his eyes faithfully upon the Lord and brought back news that espoused the covenantal hope and value of the promised land, and through that received the land of Hebron as an inheritance, that I too will treat Korea as this land of inheritance that I will be returning to as a result of a wholehearted pursuit of the Lord. That what becomes an inheritance is not only the new life, abundance, and freedom I found through Christ for these international students, but that this journey of INT-INT becomes an invaluable testimony that motivates the many students in my campus, region, and land to follow in those footsteps themselves!

With all this in mind, I humbly invite you to join me on this mission by partnering with me! My financial goals and current prayer requests are in the attached prayer letter, and if you wish to reach out to personally, feel free to reach out to me through any of the mediums listed below.

Thank you for reading! May blessings blossom on every path that you let the Lord lead you down!
